What You’ll Be Doing

As the Engineering Manager for our Apps team, you’ll lead the team that owns all of Anyfin’s consumer-facing touchpoints - from our mobile apps to the web platform. Your focus will be mobile-first, but you’ll oversee the entire frontend experience, ensuring that our users get a seamless, fast, and delightful experience no matter how they interact with us.

Your role will be a mix of leadership and technical expertise, guiding a team of skilled frontend engineers on the front lines. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and embraces change - because, let’s be real, change happens whether we’re ready for it or not.

You enjoy collaborating cross-functionally and know how to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. You’re not just a great engineer — you’re also a strong communicator who enjoys working closely with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to build great things together. You believe the best solutions come from real teamwork and open dialogue.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing frontend engineering team working with React, React Native, Node, TypeScript, and modern web technologies.
  

• Define and drive the technical strategy for our apps, ensuring quality, performance, scalability, and an outstanding user experience.
  

• Act as a bridge between tech and business — helping the team understand the "why" behind what we build, and making complex technical ideas accessible to non-technical colleagues.
  

• Mentor and support engineers at different levels, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  

• Work hands-on when needed, guiding architectural decisions and contributing to the codebase.
  

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend teams to shape the future of Anyfin’s consumer experience.
  

• Promote best practices in frontend development, ensuring maintainable, well-structured, and efficient code.
  

Who You Are

• A proven leader with 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams, ideally in a mobile-first, frontend-focused environment.

• A natural collaborator who enjoys working closely with people across functions — you’re as comfortable in technical deep-dives as you are explaining trade-offs to product or design.
  

• Expertise in React Native, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
  

• Experience working with native mobile development (Swift/Kotlin) is a plus.
  

• Strong business instincts - you know when to go for quick wins and when to invest in long-term solutions.
  

• A passion for creating fast, beautiful, and user-friendly applications.
  

• Someone who gets excited about performance optimization and hates over-engineering.
  

• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud environments (GCP, or similar) is a plus.
