Since our start in 2017, we have provided smart tools that help put financial power back in the hands of the people – where we believe it belongs. Everything we do is based on one vision: to improve the world’s financial health.

So far, we’ve helped Swedes, Finns, Norwegians, and Germans save millions by refinancing expensive consumer credits. But we aim higher. New markets, new tools, new products, and new ways of improving people’s financial lives. This means we need more brains and hearts to fuel our growth. We are an engineering and product company at the core and are now looking for a Data Engineer to join our Engineering team.

What you will be doing

As a Data Engineer at Anyfin, you'll be the brainpower behind the scenes, enabling people to turn raw data into actionable insights that drive our business forward. You'll collaborate closely with our product and engineering teams to construct resilient data pipelines, fine-tune data storage systems, and uphold data quality standards. Your code and infrastructure will form the core of our data engineering initiatives, empowering us to provide financial solutions to our users, ultimately enhancing their financial well-being.

More in detail, you will be responsible for:

• Build scalable data pipeline infrastructure to handle massive amounts of data.
• You will be using and expanding our tech stack built on top of GCP. We use tools like BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Dataflow, Postgres, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.
• Partner with analysts and engineers to adopt best practices in data management as well as identify and develop areas where data could bring disruptive value.
• Always looking for ways to take data engineering to the next level.
• Make sure that the data security is up to the standards and take measures to implement best practices.

Skills and requirements

When it comes to what you have done, we think you have experience in building and designing large-scale data pipelines. Your capacity to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, stay abreast of evolving technologies, and uphold data security and compliance standards showcases your preparedness to address intricate data engineering challenges. Furthermore, you are comfortable with working with and taking ownership of a number of different data infrastructures.

You don’t need to tick all the boxes to be our perfect match, but we think that you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Around 2-4 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Experienced in Python, SQL, Data modeling, Design, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
• Experience in workflow management tools such as Apache Airflow or similar tools such as Dagster, Kaboola, and Argo Workflows.
• Familiar with data visualization and reporting tools.
• Experience working in cloud environments such as GCP or AWS.
• If you have experience in BigQuery, dbt, Apache Beam, and CI/CD tools, it would be an added advantage.

Overall, the app is a great tool to understand your finances better.
